Business English: To count on

To count on” is a phrasal verb often used in business English.  It means to “depend on” or “rely on”.

Example:

Let’s put Elena in charge of this project; we can always count on her to do a good job.

Can we still count on Apple to produce good products?  It seems like they are going downhill.

You can usually count on Spain for good weather.

The question is: Can we still count on Apple to bring us cutting-edge products?
