Many people don’t know the word “else“, but it’s very helpful. It simply means “more”.  We use it with question words (why, what, when, where, who/m, and how) to get more information.

A. Why do you swim?

B. I swim because it is healthy.

A. Why else?

B. Oh, all my friends swim – it is actually very social.

A. What kind of music do you like?

B. I like chill out music

A. What else?

B. Sometimes I listen to pop, too

A. Have you traveled in Asia.

B. Yes, I’ve traveled to Korea and Japan.

A. Where else?

B. Oh, I’ve also traveled through Thailand.
